‘Apart from the Experiences of Subjects There Is Nothing, Nothing, Nothing, Bare Nothingness’—Nature and Subjectivity in Alfred North Whitehead

چکیده
While long ignored, the philosophy of Alfred North Whitehead has attracted considerable interest and wide academic reception since 2000s. One reason for renewed in Whitehead’s work is most certainly that his concepts offer a way out dualistic schemes thought have dominated conceptual framework West modernity. In my paper, I focus on undoing opposition between nature subjectivity, it crucial aspect concept not to exclude subjectivity from ‘realm nature’. For Whitehead, fundamental feature whole reality by no means exclusively human, leading radically non-anthropocentric, pluralistic notion subject.

Modern literary interpretation in understanding the meaning of the verse ‘There is nothing like Him’
Numerous views have been expressed by commentators and writers about the literary aspect and the meaning of the Qurchr('39')anic phrase "There is nothing like Him". The sequence of the words "ka" and "like" in the holy verse, has led to two literary and semantic illusions. The literary illusion is that "ka" seems to be redundant and the semantic illusion is the word ‘like’ indirectly proves the...
متن کاملNothing there , yet
The gravitational tug of galaxies on orbiting stars, gas clouds, other galaxies, and light reveals that the galaxies have much more mass than their visible constituents provide [1]. From what we know of the primordial abundances of the lightest elements, over 80% of this dark matter is not made of baryons, that is, particles like protons and neutrons, but rather consists of particles not yet ob...

متن کاملClosed strings from nothing
We study the physics of open strings in bosonic and type II string theories in the presence of unstable D-branes. When the potential energy of the open string tachyon is at its minimum, Sen has argued that only closed strings remain in the perturbative spectrum. We explore the scenario of Yi and of Bergman, Hori and Yi, who argue that the open string degrees of freedom are strongly coupled and ...
متن کاملSomething from Nothing (There): Collecting Global IPv6 Datasets from DNS
Current large-scale IPv6 studies mostly rely on non-public datasets, as most public datasets are domain specific. For instance, traceroute-based datasets are biased toward network equipment. In this paper, we present a new methodology to collect IPv6 address datasets that does not require access to restricted network vantage points. We collect a new dataset spanning more than 5.8 million IPv6 a...
